My New Dark Room!!!

My husband surprised me last night!!! For Christmas he got me all the stuff to build me a dark room!!! But things have been so hectic this past few months that it wasn't high on the priority list. Or so I thought. Last night as we were cleaning out the garage, he says that he has something to show me. Off we go to a storage closet that we have out back. It's a pretty big "closet"...he opens the door and there is my dark room! All finished...shelves, sink, lighting...all of it! He's been working on it for over a month, 10 minutes here, 20 minutes there...and I had no idea! What a great surprise!!! I love it! Now all I need to do is learn how to do it all! But...he has already learned how so he'll be teaching me soon! I'll post pics as soon as I can!!!!

These were taken out at my mom's place! The snow and ice are beautiful! The first picture of the spider web w/ the ice all over it is a little bit creepy!!!!

Merry Christmas to me!!!

so...for Christmas this year my awesome hubby gave me a Yashica Mat-124...it is so cool! It shoots "medium format" film...not too many places exist anymore that will develop it...so another Christmas present for me is that my hubby is building me a dark room so I can develop my own film!!! I can't wait! He bought me an enlarger, trays, chemicals, film, etc...I am going to love this! Here's a pic of a Yashica 124...so awesome!!!!

Back to Basics!!!

Alright...so it's been like FOREVER since i've been on here! Things in life have gotten a little nutty! Since i've been on here, my first photo class ended and I made it thru a second one! This go around, I guess i'll add some pics from our last assignment...that was fall foliage...these shots were taken in Glorieta, NM...my husband and I go there every year for the Festivals of Marriage! Beautiful place!

Well, last week at class our prof forgot his laptop...so we didn't get to look at all our pics. This weeks assignment is portraits...kind of excited about this one...get to do some experimenting! sorry there isn't more to update, but I haven't shot the portraits yet! Doors/Windows/Door-knobs/Hinges....part 1...

Our latest assignment in photog class...my favorites are of the old truck...the door and the busted out window...I don't know why it drew my eye, but it did!!! Hope you enjoy these shots!
